Nick Dood is a seasoned, knowledgeable, and respected tournament-winning angler and licensed charter captain at Reel Live Action Charters. With 40 years of fishing experience, including 12 years of highly successful tournament experience, Nick brings a knowledge of walleye fishing that few others possess. His annual travels take him to stops along Lake Erie, the St. Claire and Detroit Rivers, the famous Saginaw Bay and Muskegon Lake in pursuit of trophy fish.

Often appearing at public speaking events as a keynote speaker, and attending sport shows with retailers and his sponsors, Nick's presence is extremely far-reaching in the Great Lakes walleye scene. His specialties include river jigging/trolling and Great Lakes trolling with crankbaits, harnesses, and spoons. You will often find Stinger spoons out the back of his boat.
Between chartering 150+ trips a year on his 2026 Ranger 622 FS Pro, he also holds his 50 Ton US Coast Guard Captain License. Between his exceptional tournament fishing record, extremely high rate of returning charter customers, requested presence at sports shows, and everything in between, Nick is one of the greatest fishing advocates of our day and age.
