WHY IT WORKS: The unique construction of this flasher allows it to produce a small electric current. This galvanic cell action will show as a “loss” of the metallic finish. If this is not happening – your Betsy flasher is not fishing to optimum level. No dealer or distributor is authorized to accept the return of this product. The manufacturer will not replace this item under any circumstances.

Customer photo review of Big Shooter - Betsy

I have had a lot of success fishing with this flasher... but I have to say, I'm very disappointed with the quality of the build. In just one day of use the reflective coating had already begun to flake off. WTH?! Note: the same thing has happened to another one of these, so it wasn't an isolated incident.

Store owner replied: Hi Ross, Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear you've had a lot of success fishing with the Betsy Silver Flasher. I wanted to take a moment to explain a unique feature of this particular flasher that might clarify what you're experiencing. The flaking of the reflective coating is actually part of the flasher’s design, not a defect. The Betsy Silver Flasher is built to create a small electric current through a process called galvanic cell action. This subtle current attracts fish, and the “loss” of the metallic finish you’re seeing is a visual indicator that your flasher is performing at its best. If this process isn't happening, the flasher wouldn’t be working at its optimum level. Those who know, know! We do include a disclaimer on the packaging of this product, as well as on the product pages of our website, to inform customers about this feature. However, we understand this can sometimes be unexpected. If you have any further questions feel free to reach out! Tight lines, The Gibbs Fishing Team

Excellent customer service! Thank you!

I ordered the flashers that you’re showing in the picture, but that is not what I received. I sent an email regarding this issue as soon as I got them, but I’ve heard nothing in response about getting the correct ones.

While the gear is usually of sound quality with Gibbs, the flasher i just bought is significantly lacking in quality. In the water for less than an hour and already bubbling and peeling. Not happy with the purchase and quality of the flasher. Concerning.
