Alex’s interest in fishing started at the early age of 5, where he grew a passion for the sport on his own. With lots of support around him, he has spent his summers working the deck on charter boats on Lake Ontario and fishing with various tournament teams since the age of 16. Alex spends most of his time chasing chinook salmon on the north shore of Lake Ontario out of Port Credit, and occasionally can be found fishing various other species around Ontario or traveling to tropical destinations to fish for big game saltwater species.
For Alex, fishing has become a key part of his life, opening up doors for networking and building lifelong friendships, while being able to adventure to different fisheries and build lifelong memories with family and friends. Alex gets real satisfaction from sharing his passion and love of the sport with family, friends, and newcomers on the charter boats. Sharing the excitement of a screaming reel or helping catch the fish of a lifetime has brought him great satisfaction.
When it comes to tackle, Alex’s starting line up always includes Oki Tackle Kingfisher II flashers, specifically the White Casper and Green Casper colours. His Kingfisher flashers are usually paired with various Rhys Davis teaser heads.
