Often known as the "Poor Man's Downrigger", Slip Weight Sinkers make an excellent substitution for this pricey piece of hardware. These weights are designed to slip and clip onto your mainline and then release and slide down to your flasher or lure for ease of fight. The Slip weight sinker can be clipped in at any desired spot and won't get in your way when you have a fish on the line.  Each package contains 1 piece.

These are glorified paperweights. Compared to my neighbours old Gibbs Delta slip weights, they have gone down in copper wire gauge size, such that theres not nearly enough tension for the weight to dangle from the spring. I invite the team at gibbs to try hanging one of these weights on 40lb line with anything heavier than an 8oz. The line will pop out with the slightest shake, and on the 12/16oz it falls out immediately. Borrowed my neighbours new Peetz weight (stainless wire in a 12oz) and its hard to even get the line in the spring - it clamps so tight and doesnt pop loose as you’re dropping your gear down. THATS what you want Gibbs, please reach out as these weights are basically useless past the 6oz, which doesnt get deep enough for salt water. Was getting very frustrated after this order of 4 weights came in. Lost time fishing, more time trying to lessen drag on the setup so it wouldnt pop out as soon as it touched the water

best sinkers for trolling ,i use them to troll for spanish mackeral in australia ,it keeps the sinker a big distance from the bait ,and releases when a bite happens
